Excerpt: RightHaven Causes Truth Website To Be Shut Down Using Frivolous Lawsuit

Excerpt from p2pnet:

Barratry is “most commonly applied to an attorney who attempts to bring about a lawsuit that will be profitable to her or him”, says the free legal dictionary.
“Barratry is an offense both at Common Law and under some state statutes.”
It’s a word I’d never come across before, not even with the failed RIAA Sue ‘Em All campaign.
But it keys directly to a practice of Vivendi Universal, EMI, Warner Music and Sony Music’s RIAA, and Steve Gibson (right), the bottom-feeding Las Vegas copyright extortionist who runs Righthaven LLC in Las Vegas.
He has a lot in common with Cary Sherman, the longest serving lawyer behind Vivendi Universal, EMI, Warner Music and Sony Music’s RIAA.
If justice wasn’t blind, deaf and dumb, both men would by now have been permanently disbarred from the legal profession. Instead, they’re getting rich and fat on the backs of people who can’t defend themselves — people such as Brian Hill, a young blogger with chronic medical conditions.
