Hey Righthaven if you really want to win any case then shut down that share button because it is deceitful to have share buttons then sue people for sharing that article and/or their pictures. So don't sue Western Front America, Thefatbrat, Uswgo, plus bully Alex Jones by shutting him up, bully Drudge Report to shut them up, and others.
The legal argument first so here it goes. So say I'm Thomas Edison and I decide to share my invention idea with the world then I decide to patent it 1 month later then decide to sue people who I've shared my idea with then that is despicable and should be punishable under any extent of the law. Well my friends that is what Righthaven is they let stuff be shared throughout the world then sue any to all bloggers who have what has been shared throughout the Internet. Many say sharing is stealing but it is propaganda and a false term. Sharing and copying is not stealing. So saying taking a screenshot is stealing is like saying taking a picture of any Government building is planning robbery and terrorism, taking a picture of any public place is stealing, and taking pictures of nature is a evil omen.
To further my argument these images below is what you will most likely find on Righthaven sites including the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Denver Post, Las Vegas Review Journal, and others. If not on others then at least the Denver Post you will find these describled below encouraging sharing of their content then suing bloggers for it.

Here's that proof for the judge and even lawyers to read even Steve Gibson the guy everyone hates so much can also read this page and see why all Righthaven lawsuits will fail, EPIC FAIL! |
Even at the bottom of The Denver Post is mentions this little tidbit:
This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed for any commercial purpose. It does not mention non commercial purposes so this gives free reign to non commercial websites thus should mean that non commercial sites are not breaking Denver Posts terms of use. By baring non-profit sites as well without telling them is like letting a bunch of photographers march on the White House lawn then secret service jump at them taking all the money they got for damages to the White House.
So something doesn't add up with the Righthaven lawsuits. If they really want to enforce copyright here is how Righthaven and the Denver Post should do it.
- All their images should be copyrighted before the release and they should state that on their website like this example:
2. The Internet is open airwaves. Once you release something someone eventually is bound to copy it, take a screenshot of it, take video of it, or even save the data onto their computers. If they didn't want people sharing their pictures of even articles on their blogs they need to state that and changed their legal writings on the bottom of their page to "This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed for any purpose." or even "This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed."
3.Even if the Denver Post allowed Righthaven to get the copyright for their content, they still have rights as the creator of that content. Not all content creators wish to sue people for redistributing their articles and pictures. So this means that Righthaven has gone against the will of both the blogger and the content creator themselves thus making them legal versions of thieves that can legally steal for profit.
4. They should also at least state the copyright number so that anybody can find out who the owner and authorized agent of that owner so that anyone who wishes to repost content can get permission from that agent or the content creator himself/herself and make sure to print out the email granting permission so that you don't get sued and have no proof that you were authorized to reproduce any kind of material.
So I hope your reading this Denver Post and follow this advice or else nobody will read your cra**y (Sorry for the language, lol) newspaper anymore and hope you fall down the financial cliff that the world is falling into.
The same goes to Righthaven if you refuse to abide by the proper ways of copyright then you have no right to sue any blogger in fact you deserve to be investigated by the Nevada Bar.
